Seminars are held at our Ashland main office and throughout Virginia for your convenience. If you prefer, classes can be tailored to your unique requirements and presented at your facility.

Omron PLC Training Seminars

Omron's PLCs are powerful enough to meet your production demands, yet easily understood through its life cycle, from initial programming to installation, and start up to maintenance. Omron has the PLC to fit your application: Nano, Micro, Rackless, and Racked PLCs.

With Programmable Logic Controllers installed in almost every piece of automated equipment produced today, knowledge of PLC systems, applications and maintenance is absolutely essential for operating and maintaining the modern factory. Hermitage Automation & Controls stands ready to assist you with a series of training seminars designed to provide real world information on PLC applications, programming and troubleshooting.

These seminars provide hands-on experience with the actual PLC hardware and programming equipment and are conducted by Doug Smith, who is an OMRON factory certified instructor. One and two day classes are presented regionally throughout Virginia and are held at a local hotel conference site. Three and four day classes are held at our main offices in Ashland (Richmond), VA. The typical class day begins at 8:30am and ends at 4:30pm. Lunch and snacks are provided.

• Prior registration is required as class size is typically limited to ten (10) persons.
• Contact your Sales Engineer or the receptionist at Hermitage for a registration form.
• A company purchase order or check is required when registering for classes.
• A full refund will be made for persons canceling attendance one (1) week prior to the class date.

On-site Training

For customers who have a large number of people that cannot be released to attend an outside class, Hermitage can provide on-site training seminars at your facility. Hermitage provides all equipment and manuals on-site. The on-site classes can be tailored to accommodate your schedule, number of persons attending, or special interests.

In addition to the standard classes available, Hermitage also offers two (2) other classes for on-site training. A four (4) hour maintenance class instructs those responsible with maintaining the PLC equipment only. Installation and troubleshooting issues are discussed along with hands on use of the programming console. No programming knowledge is required.

We also offer a PLC orientation seminar for supervisory and management personnel. This class is intended for those who need to know general information on use and capabilities of PLCs for decision making on the management level. The material in this class is presented as generically as possible, using layman's terms where possible. This class is typically 2-3 hours.
